Biography:
Walter Rosati, a Toronto native quickly established himself as a mainstay in the Canadian DJ scene. As a
teenager he played his first gigs in the early eighties doing all ages parties and small clubs.In a time when
talent and vinyl was paramount he was quickly offered gigs in larger glam clubs of Toronto. Clubs like
The Copa, The Diamond & Casablanca became infamous nightspots.Walter became a key player in
developing the club scene that lives on today. In the early days Waltshowcased his strong abilities
technically and musically. Playing the soulful sounds that would ultimately become the foundation of
house music. Playing and touring with dance music’s brightest stars: Nu Civilization, Snap, Sound
Factory, and Frankie Knuckles to name a few. Walter had a sound that was more on the edge than the
norm. A dedicated following soon developed that translated into long running residencies in Toronto,
Montreal and Detroit. In 2005 with partner Louis Chu opened Republik nightclub, Bluepoint Oyster Bar &
Supper Club and anumber of other venues in Toronto. Also a partner in Destiny Event Productions, the
WorldElectronic Music Festival & the Cutting Edge Music Festival... Walter keeps his schedule busy.
